A Modern Upgrade at Peninsula Golf & Country Club

At the Peninsula Golf & Country Club, an important modernization took place with the removal of the old wooden driving range barrier. The course opted for a high-performance solution: a brand new, 115-foot-high steel pole driving range barrier. This installation aimed to provide enhanced safety and functionality while blending with the aesthetics of the beautiful course. The upgrade ensures a superior level of protection for golfers and bystanders, keeping in line with the course’s commitment to providing a top-tier golfing experience.

Overcoming Challenging Terrain to Secure the Installation

The installation process at Peninsula Golf & Country Club was not without its hurdles. The project team had to navigate difficult access points and work around uneven terrain, which presented unique drilling challenges. The ground itself proved resistant to traditional methods, requiring a specialized approach to ensure the project stayed on track. These obstacles were anticipated and carefully addressed to prevent delays and ensure a smooth installation despite the tough conditions.

Innovative Solutions to Meet Project Demands

To tackle these challenges, the team utilized heavy-duty outriggers on specialized drilling and pole-setting equipment, allowing for precise and stable installation despite the difficult environment. Turf protection measures were implemented both inside and outside the course to preserve the pristine condition of the landscape during the heavy machinery use. With these advanced solutions, the team ensured that both the course and the new barrier were protected throughout the process.
