Overview
This project involved designing and installing a full overhead canopy netting system to protect a newly installed solar panel array located behind the driving range at La Rinconada Country Club in Los Gatos, California. The club needed a durable, long-term solution to prevent errant golf balls from damaging their solar investment while keeping the aesthetic and functionality of the range intact.

Project Challenges
The main challenge was to build a high-coverage barrier that would not only offer maximum protection for the solar panels, but also maintain access and usability for groundskeepers. Given the proximity to active fairways, precision engineering and careful material selection were essential to deliver a solution that would not obstruct play or maintenance work.
Solution Provided
Our team delivered a tailored solution by constructing a fully permitted and engineered canopy netting system using UV-treated polyester and fire-retardant nylon, ensuring both strength and weather resistance. To support long-term ease of use, custom funnels were also incorporated into the design to allow collected golf balls to be gathered and removed by staff with minimal effort. The end result is a low-profile, high-functionality system that meets both protective and operational needs.
